One of the most impactful ways you can support Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation is by hosting your own fundraiser. When people hear a story from someone they know and trust, they’re more likely to give—and give generously. Peer-to-peer fundraisers harness the power of personal connection to make a real difference for children and families in need.
Setting up your own fundraising page through Colorado Gives is quick and easy, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Here’s how you can get started:
Step 1: Sign Up on Colorado Gives
The first step is simple: head over to coloradogives.org/RMCHF and click “Fundraise.” This is where you’ll start building your personal fundraising page.

Step 2: Set Up Your Fundraiser Page
You’ll have the opportunity to personalize it to reflect your unique reasons for supporting RMCHF, and Colorado Gives makes the process quick and easy.
This is your chance to tell your story. Why do you support RMCHF? How has this foundation made a difference in your life or the lives of others you care about? Sharing your “why” can be a powerful motivator for others to join you in supporting RMCHF. People love getting behind a cause when they understand the personal meaning it holds for someone they care about.
Click on the edit pencil icons on this page to add your own description, photo, and even a fundraising goal to give your community a target to work toward. No matter the size of your goal, every dollar raised goes directly toward helping children and families in need—and that’s an amazing goal in and of itself! (See below)

Step 3: Spread the Word
Once your page is ready, it’s time to get the word out! Reach out to your community and invite them to join you in making a big difference. Use email, social media, texts—whatever method works best for you to reach the people in your life. (See above)
Don’t be shy about asking people to support your cause. Remember, every little bit helps, and often people are happy to give when someone they know asks personally. By sharing your enthusiasm, you can create a ripple effect that brings in contributions and even more awareness for RMCHF. Here are a few suggestions for how to share your campaign:
- Write an email! Send your friends and family an email encouraging them to get involved. Use a catchy subject line (e.g. “I’m supporting kids in the hospital, and I need your help!”), share a few sentences about why you are raising funds for RMCHF, and include a link to your campaign so it’s easy for them to give.
- Post on your social media. It never hurts to post more than once! Share your campaign when you first launch it, then again a few times before it ends. Sharing updates along the way can make it fun and exciting for others to follow along.
- Share your goal. Goals give everyone something to aim for, and sharing how much you’re hoping to raise (and how much you’ve raised already) can help motivate people to join in.
If you’d like any starter templates or would like help creating any content to share, please reach out! We’re happy to help.
Step 4: Watch the Magic Happen
As donations come in, you’ll get to experience the joy of seeing the total rise and knowing that each contribution is making a real difference. And don’t forget to celebrate along the way. Every dollar you raise helps ensure that RMCHF can continue providing resources, support, and care for children and families who need it most.

Hosting your own fundraiser is a powerful way to make a real difference in people’s lives. It’s also a great way to engage your community and raise awareness about the vital work RMCHF does. So go ahead—sign up, share your story, rally your supporters, and watch your impact grow.
We’re incredibly grateful for your support and can’t wait to see the amazing things our community accomplishes together!
