We protect the personal information collected from this site by using industry standard security precautions against loss and unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification or disclosure of information. We comply with the security safeguards detailed in our computer security policies and procedures, and routinely monitor compliance. All information provided to the foundation is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a proven coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt, or scramble, data before you send it to us. We also protect account information by placing it on a secure portion of our site that is only accessible by certain qualified employees. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information.

We guard your online transactions to ensure optimal safety of your information. The actual transmission of your payment information over the internet is at its safest when your web browser can make an encrypted connection, and for your protection, we will only process your order if you can make such a connection. If you have trouble with the encrypted connection, your computer, web browser or your internet connection, please contact us to make your payment.

When you donate to the foundation or Mothers’ Milk Bank, the transaction will be processed by Blackbaud and Med Forward who are not affiliated with the foundation or milk bank. These entities collect credit card donations, purchase fees and health information. This is designed to ensure your information is safely processed and stored through a secure portal.

Our online giving form and Lactation Journal Club registration are supported through our primary third-party processor, Blackbaud, which provides the foundation basic transaction data but not sensitive information such as credit card numbers or passwords. In addition to using SSL encryption for all transactions and conforming to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI Compliance) for all online payment transactions, Blackbaud stores encrypted credit card numbers and passwords, as well as other donor information, on servers that are kept in a physically secure environment with strict policies that minimize staff access to the information contained therein. Blackbaud is responsible for its own data security and privacy measures, and we cannot and will not be liable for any loss in connection with Blackbaud’s handling of your information. Blackbaud’s privacy policy, may be reviewed at https://www.blackbaud.com/privacy-policy.aspx.
