Work for an organization with heart!
Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on children and families. Through our work both directly with families and through medical professionals, we provide the financial, nutritional, and emotional support that pediatric patients and their families need to meet their essential needs, allowing them to focus on their child’s well-being.
Whether it’s a newborn in need of donor human milk to thrive, a child with a serious illness looking for the companionship of a furry friend, or a family who needs to buy gas to visit their child in the hospital, we ensure no family has to go through their child’s medical journey alone.
Why work for RMCHF?
The Collaboration
Our small but mighty team loves working together. We brainstorm together, problem solve across departments, and support each other, day in and day out. True collaboration is what we do.
The Benefits
We believe in supporting our team however we can. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance, a 401K with company match, generous PTO, and more.
The Cause
What better way to spend your day than working to support children and families in our community? As a cause-based organization, care, respect, and dedication underline everything we do.
We’re proud to be recognized as a Family Friendly Workplace by the Greater Arvada Chamber of Commerce. This badge reflects our commitment to supporting employees with benefits and policies that promote balance, flexibility, and care.
Guiding Values & Beliefs
- We believe families shouldn’t have to go through their child’s medical journey alone.
- We believe families have agency and control over their lives. Our role is to put support for their basic needs within reach.
- We believe supporting families is an ongoing process, not just a moment in time.
- We believe it takes a village to support and raise a family, and we are part of that village.
- We believe in the power of listening, community, and connection.
- We believe the ‘little things’ we often take for granted are hugely important.
- We believe every family’s needs are unique, and we need to be flexible in our approach to supporting them.
- We understand that outcomes aren’t always positive, and we’re there to support families through that grief and loss, too.
- We believe mental health conditions are as important and valid as physical health conditions.
- We believe that collaborating with other organizations is the best way to meet the needs of the families we are here to support.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
We Believe
Our team is united behind one purpose: supporting pediatric patients and their families during unimaginable medical challenges. Illness and injury do not discriminate, and neither do we. We believe all children and all families deserve access to support, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation or identity, age, religion, disability, socioeconomic status, or any other identities. No matter how these children and their families show up in the world, we are here for them.
Internally, we believe inclusion and belonging are critical elements for a thriving work environment. Great ideas can come from anyone. The more people are respected, the more they can bring their personal experiences to the table. The more their voices are heard, the greater impact we can have as a team. Creativity thrives when everyone is given a chance to contribute. Here, all people—and all ideas—belong.
We Will
We understand that expressing support for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging and taking meaningful action are two different things. With action in mind, here are a few of the ways we’re incorporating DEI+B efforts into our day-to-day work:
- Educating ourselves and our teams. Education is a crucial step towards fostering an inclusive and equitable environment. DEI+B trainings are incorporated into our annual goals, and we are constantly seeking the latest research and best practices. The more we challenge our own biases and develop deeper empathy, the better we can foster an inclusive community.
- Intentional listening. We hold safe space for our employees, stakeholders, and community to engage in conversations around DEI+B. By suspending judgement, focusing on each other, and seeking supportive solutions together, we ensure all voices are heard and respected.
- Process evaluation. Whether they’re new or well-established, we continuously examine our policies, practices, and procedures through a DEI+B lens. We look for areas where inequities, barriers, or exclusionary practices unintentionally exist and make changes for the better.
- Advocating for structural changes. Even if we could do everything right, we still recognize that societal systems often challenge or interfere with inclusivity and equity. By lending our voice to important conversations and engaging in partnerships, we hope to support more long-term impact towards an inclusive society.
We Know
We know we are not perfect, and that there is a lot of work to be done. We are dedicated to continuous learning and growing, and we invite you to join us on this journey. If you have any feedback or ideas on how we could better support our diverse community, we encourage you to send us a note. We will do our best to listen with intention and incorporate your feedback in any way possible.
