The Importance of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in Our Work

At Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation, we stand firm in our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), particularly in light of recent social and political developments. We recognize that the landscape surrounding health and wellbeing is constantly evolving, systemic barriers still exist, and new challenges are being brought to the forefront.

Our core belief is simple: children facing serious medical conditions deserve support. Their families deserve support. Illness and injury do not discriminate, and neither do we. Now, more than ever, it is critical that we stay true to our mission and continue serving diverse communities with unwavering compassion and dedication.

As stated in our DEIB statement, we believe that all individuals—regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or any other characteristic—deserve to be seen, valued, and respected. This extends beyond providing critical support to families who need us to fostering an inclusive culture where everyone, internally and externally, feels welcomed, heard, and empowered.

Our commitment to DEIB will not waver. We are resolute in ensuring that our community of staff, families, and partners continues to embody and reflect the diverse world we serve.

As we continue to face new and evolving challenges, we pledge to stand alongside all children and families, fostering hope, resilience, and opportunity. Let’s keep working together to make a difference!
